ABSTRACT
Lionel Tarassenko will speak on the subject of applying AI in medicine, drawing on his vast experience in the transfer of technology from the academic arena and of getting AI based systems introduced into the commercial world. For example, Oxford BioSignals Ltd, of which is a founder Director, is exploiting technology, originally developed at the University of Oxford for the analysis of brain waves, with a view to delivering revolutionary diagnostic solutions to the healthcare market. These solutions will be applied to patients suffering from debilitating conditions such as sleep disorders, and are being extended to include other biosignals such as the electrocardiogram and oxygen levels.
